Resumen

En este trabajo ensayaremos una reflexión exploratoria sobre el significado de la confianza en la tecnología y el valor del escepticismo crítico en el actual mundo tecnológico. Tras examinar el significado de las nociones de confianza y dependencia, y sobre la base de las aportaciones de diversos autores entre los que destacan U. Beck y P. Sztompka, argumentaremos que la creciente artificialización y despersonalización de nuestro entorno está induciendo un tránsito desde la confianza a la dependencia en los cimientos del tejido social. Se defenderá finalmente el valor del escepticismo personal y la crítica social como respuesta frente a la creciente alienación tecnológica en el mundo actual.
