Doctor by the Universidad de Oviedo with the thesis Spacial analysis al multiple scales of ecosystem services supply of forest and agricutural landscapes in NW Iberian peninsula 2015. Supervised by Dr. Pedro Álvarez Álvarez.

My research focuses on the analysis of forest ecosystems and rural landscapes, as well as the multiple benefits they provide to society. It mainly explores the geographical distribution patterns, temporal dynamics, and drivers of change that affect these systems. In addition, it develops indicators to assess various ecosystem services from an integrative and multifunctional perspective. To this end, it combines methodologies from disciplines such as landscape ecology, forest ecology, and geography, using diverse data sources including cartographic information, satellite imagery, forest inventories, and socioeconomic statistics.
