Resum

The subject of Technology of Emulsions and Suspensions of the Master of Chemical Engineering of theUniversity of Oviedo consists total of 34 hours, 10 experimental hours of laboratory. The experimentalpart of the laboratory is carried out at the end of the subject, which facilitates the development of ex-periments based on learning from the theoretical classes. However, as it coincides with the end of thesemester, students often lack motivation during the development of these, which reduces the possibilitythat the student develops critical thinking about the results obtained. Using the methodology focused onproblem-based learning can promote the development of critical thinking, problem-solving ability andcommunication skills. For this reason, the implementation of this methodology is proposed, it will bethe student who will propose the necessary laboratory experiments to propose solutions and/or impro-vements to critical aspects typically found in industries in the sector. With all this, the link between thetheoretical part and the practice of the subject is strengthened, as well as strengthening the relationshipbetween the subject and the industry of the sector.
