Zusammenfassung

The main target of this paper is to analyze the Italian treatise during the 16th century from a feminist literary critic’s vision. So that, two different aspects will be considered: on the one hand, misogynic issues in male treatises and, on the other hand, the philogynist treatises involved in the Women’s Question during the Italian Renaissance, with special regard on Moderata Fonte and Lucrezia Marinelli’s works. This article deals with some theoretical contents related to this controversial debate while taking into consideration a double perspective, which includes male and female writers, and their ideas about women’s supremacy.
