Resumen

The design and use of educational videos are increasing at a remarkable rate in all disciplines. Itsuse is being incorporated into initial teacher training, while it is necessary to assess the suitability ofthe designed materials, to ensure that they meet the established learning standards. The first aim ofthis work is to analyze the didactical suitability of 16 educational videos about probability elaboratedby 67 primary education student teachers. A second goal consists on studying the interpretability ofthe suitability indicators when applied by different reviewers. The results reveal that the suitabilityof most educational videos is medium or low, except for the indicator related to the adequacy of thelinguistic level. This fact indicates the need to implement specific actions in initial teacher training.On the other hand, it points the need to clarify some indicators.
