Offshoring de producción intermedia e innovación¿Afecta el modo de gobierno a la relación?

Resumen

Este trabajo analiza el efecto del offshoring de actividades de producción intermedia sobre la innovación empresarial, tratando de identificar además si este efecto se mantiene cualquiera que sea el modo de gobierno de offshoring utilizado: offshore outsourcing o captive offshoring. Para ello se utilizan datos de 1.203 empresas industriales españolas, extraídos de la Encuesta sobre Estrategias Empresariales (ESEE) para el período 2006-2009. Los resultados obtenidos muestran una relación positiva entre el offshoring de actividades de fabricación de partes y componentes y la innovación en producto de la empresa, manteniéndose este efecto positivo para las dos modalidades de offshoring analizadas.
