Resumen

El presente trabajo desarrolla un análisis empírico de los factores determinantes del modo de implantación en el mercado receptor—creación frente a adquisición— en el caso concreto de inversiones realizadas por empresas españolas en la Unión Europea. La metodología utilizada es el Análisis Cualitativo Comparativo de categorías difusas. Los resultados obtenidos apuntan a la distancia cultural entre las naciones implicadas en el proceso, el riesgo país de la nación receptora y la experiencia acumulada por la empresa inversora en el proceso de internacionalización y en el país receptor de la inversión como principales condicionantes de la elección entre ambas fórmulas.
