Geología
El Departamento de Geología es la unidad docente e investigadora responsable de la impartición de las asignaturas de temática geológica en los estudios ofertados por la Universidad de Oviedo, así como de la actividad científica en dicho ámbito. En la actualidad, están adscritos al mismo 39 profesores, 9 miembros de administración y servicios, y una veintena de becarios e investigadores contratados.Está integrado por seis Áreas de Conocimiento: Cristalografía y Mineralogía, Estratigrafía, Geodinámica Interna, Geodinámica Externa, Paleontología, Petrología y Geoquímica.
