Energía
El Departamento de Energía de la Universidad de Oviedo fue creado en 1986 para todas las actividades docentes e investigadoras relativas a la Energía. Está compuesto por cuatro áreas de conocimiento: Ingeniería Hidráulica, Ingeniería Nuclear, Máquinas y Motores Térmicos y Mecánica de Fluidos. En la actualidad, forman parte del Departamento 39 docentes y 8 PAS (Personal de Administración y Servicios) que imparten docencia en 4 centros de la Universidad de Oviedo: la Escuela Politécnica de Ingeniería de Gijón, donde se encuentra su sede y la mayor parte de equipos docentes e investigadores, la Escuela de Ingeniería de Minas, Energía y Materiales de Oviedo, la Escuela Politécnica de Mieres y la Escuela Superior de la Marina Civil.
