Doctor by the Universidad de Oviedo with the thesis Estimación de costes y plazos en proyectos de sistemas de información 2005. Supervised by Dr. Vicente Rodríguez Montequín, Dr. Francisco Ortega Fernández.

In relation to my academic training, I have completed the qualifications of Diploma in Computer Science in 1993, Computer Engineering in 1997 and Doctor in Project Management from the University of Oviedo in 2005. My professional and teaching experience began in 1998 with professional activity in different private and public companies for 5 years, varying from ICT projects to European research projects. My lines of research focus on: Project management, Agile methodologies, Machine learning, Data mining. My teaching activity at the University began in 2001 until today, with two five-year teaching periods and two six-year research periods. I have participated in more than fourteen European funding projects and around one hundred contracts and projects, in nine of which I have participated as principal investigator. In addition to continuous process improvement projects, I have also participated in projects aimed at implementing management systems for public bodies and private companies, as well as systems for identifying indicators of compliance with objectives in ICT projects. I have also participated in projects for the implementation of project management systems in companies. Since 2003, I have received more than 50 training courses, both academic and research-based. I have presented more than 40 papers at conferences whose main theme is project management or the application of Data Sciences to engineering problems. Author of scientific publications in international journals with an ISI-JCR impact index, in patents in use and book chapters. As well as reviewer in scientific publications. Director of 3 doctoral theses.
