Doctor by the Universidad de Oviedo with the thesis Sistema Computacional de Programación Flexible diseñado sobre una Máquina Abstracta Reflectiva No Restrictiva 2002. Supervised by Dr. Juan Manuel Cueva Lovelle.

I am a full professor in the Computer Science Department of the University of Oviedo, PhD in Computer Science and MSc in Computer Engineering. I also work as an adjunct lecturer for the Munster Technological University (formerly Cork Institute of Technology), Ireland. My main research interests are programming languages and software development. I am the head of the Computational Reflection research group.
