Resum

The files AGI, Indifferent, 1656-1658 from the General Archive of the Indies in Seville contain 30 printing files of 32 works on American themes managed by the Council of the Indies between 1763 and 1814. This corpus, despite not being too extensive, is representative of the general panorama of the publication of works with Americanist themes. This work briefly describes the files and analyzes the granting of denial of a license in relation to other variables, such as the subject of the work, the ecclesiastical dedication of the author or the possession of license from the Council of Castile. The objective is to deduce some of the patterns which controlled the American story in these last decades of the 18th century, when the censorship system devised by Campomanes operated.
