School absenteeism is a phenomenon with important consequences for students, their families, the educational community, and society in general. Due to this fact, in Spain, most communities develop different regulatory frameworks of action with the aim of reducing its impact, except for La Rioja and our community, the Principality of Asturias. For this reason, the main objectives of this study are to 1) analyze the various regulatory frameworks of action that are already being implemented and their effectiveness, in order to 2) propose a set of indicators that can guide the development of the regulatory framework of action in the Principality of Asturias.
