Resum

In this article we attempt to present an analysis of the phraseological unit ye lo que hai, which is widely extended and used in Asturian and Asturian Spanish. For this purpose, we have fifty samples of spontaneous speech, extracted from WhatsApp, which allow us to verify the contexts in which this phraseological unit can be found. Considering that until this moment we do not have a solid theoretical framework for Asturian phraseology, we follow the taxonomic proposal of Corpas Pastor (1996) since she is one of the most accepted authors in the Ibero-American romance scope. So, based on these samples, we provide a phraseological and pragmatic description of this construction. Starting with its categorization, and taking into account its dependence on the context, we include it in the routine formula category. Into this section, the conversational context tells us if it is a closing discursive formula, which determines the end of an argumentative block or the end of the conversation, expressing resignation before an inevitable fact or if, on the contrary, it is an expressive psycho-social formula that serves to respond to an FTA. This last case constitutes a kind of defense that the affected person carries out when they feel their image is threatened. At the same time, this expression closes the argumentative block, stopping a possible reply from their interlocutor without posing a threat to the latter person's face.
