We analyze the impact of family communication on internet-victimization behavior in teen couples. Likert questionnaires were applied to 1663 middle school students, comparing factors for girls and boys. For both genders we found significant negative correlation between open communication with both parents and web-victimization, and significant positive relationship between offensive communication and victimization. For both genders the most significant factor was having offensive communication with the parent of the same gender, however for girls this was correlated with victimization whereas with boys was linked to aggression. The results support addressing these factors to prevent patterns of violence in teen couples.
