Autoengaño y distorsiones de la conciencia del problema en dependientes afectivos

Abstract

There are defined the affective or sentimental dependences as relational disorders characterized by the manifestation of addictive and not adaptative behaviors in the interpersonal relation fix quotas to an affective dependent interrelationship. Our aim is to offer a psychosocial interpretation of the mechanisms of auto deception, denial and not confrontation as regulatory factors of the conscience of the problem. For it there has applied to itself the Scale of Auto deception of the I.R.I.D.S.-100 (Inventory of Interpersonal Relations and Sentimental Dependences-100 of Sirvent and Moral, 2005) that values the locus of control of the subject, the conscience and perception of the problem, as well as the cognitive processes that they starts to justify their behaviour. This scale is integrated by four factors: Auto deception, Manipulation, Reiteration and Mechanisms of denial and not confrontation. A diagnosis has been realized by full agreement inter-judges for the selection of the sample of affective dependents (Emotional dependents, Codependents and Bidependientes) and an intentional sampling in case of the samples of comparison (addicts and relatives not codependents), as well as a control group has selected of general population. In agreement with the found results has been confirmed the employment of mechanisms of auto deception and of cognitive restructuring in all the factors explored in the predicted direction, being especially significant in the clinical subpopulations of Bidependents and Emotional dependents, in view of their clinical profiles. To therapeutic level one affects in the need to optimize socio affective and relational healthy resources by means of that one proceeds to the acquisition and/or consolidation of a suitable conscience of the problem.
