Abstract

Opposite to the crisis of vital sense and the inevitable suffering in response to limit-situations that so much concern the behavior and the modern subjectivity: what options does it propose to the psychotherapy? The aim of this article is to analyze the offers that emerge from the existential therapies; concretely from the Logotherapy of V. E. Frankl and the Existential Psychotherapy of I. D. Yalom. Also from the Therapy of Acceptance and Commitment, considered here from its affinities with the Existential Therapy. We conclude that the existential approach offers a response to the inevitable human suffering and the crisis of vital sense in modern culture. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy can be read as a form of Existential Therapy
