Resumen

Este trabajo revisa los instrumentos macroprudenciales utilizados a nivel internacional y la evidencia disponible sobre su eficacia para incrementar la estabilidad financiera, así como las potenciales interacciones entre la política macroprudencial y la política monetaria. El trabajo presenta un análisis empírico que muestra la utilidad de diversos instrumentos macroprudenciales para reducir el crecimiento del crédito y el porcentaje de créditos fallidos a la vez que confirma la existencia de interrelaciones entre la política macroprudencial y la monetaria.
