Résumé

This proposal is based on the theoretical foundations established by Wood (1999) on hysterical realism and Ercolino (2012) on the maximalist novel. Noting that in both works the only novel of the corpora analysed written by a woman is White Teeth by Zadie Smith (2000), this work has a twofold purpose: on the one hand, to find out how the maximalist novel persists and/or how it has been transformed; on the other hand, a re-vision exercise in the sense of Rich (1972) will be carried out using a corpus of novels written between 2018 and 2022 by women only; this decision will also allow us not only to build genealogy in the present, but also to challenge the definition of the universal canon.
