Abstract
The judgment of the Supreme Court of Spain STS 1749/2022 pronounced December 23th has meant, along with others, a major change, although foreseeable, in terms of fixing attorneys' fees in process costing in the civil proceedings. The so-called guiding rules or criteria approved by the different Spanish Bar Associations may not contain price guidelines or quantifications. However, civil processes continue and the assessment of costs with them and it is therefore necessary to address a reasonable and lasting solution.
