Abstract
The potash deposit of the Javier-Undues basin is another example of the saline deposits that appear in pre-Pirenean Eocene basins, whose exploited examples have been the Sierra del Perdon basin (Navarra) and the Catalonian Potash basin (Barcelona). This deposit has equivalent geological characters to the other deposits mined until now, but possesses a group of peculiarities which have been conditioned by the geodynamic evolution of the basin. Adequate understanding of the basin geology has provided evidence of an important potash deposit of economic interest that will be developed under as the project named Muga Mine.
