The majority of the studies which demonstrate the success of guided tissue regeneration (RTG) on intra bony defects have a maximum follow-up of 6 to 12 months. Only a few studies show the long term stability of the tissues regenerated using this technique. The objective of this article is to present a case of a vertical defect treated with RTG using an expanded polytetrafluoroethylene membrane, and followed up for a three years period.
