Abstract

Dado el componente estacional de las actividades turísticas, y su presencia en zonas caracterizadas por una presión endémica sobre sus recursos hídricos, el diseño de políticas adecuadas para alcanzar la sostenibilidad de dichos recursos debe ser un objetivo prioritario, siendo la asignación de precios una herramienta valorada positivamente tanto a nivel académico como institucional. El artículo realiza una revisión de las políticas tarifarias aplicables al uso del agua en el sector turístico en España, así como una evaluación del impacto de los precios y la actividad turística sobre el consumo de agua en las Comunidades Autónomas
