Resumen

The ETLEN atlas (2017) is an study on the linguistic boundary between the domains of Galician-Portuguese and Asturleonese in westmost Asturias (Spain). Its elaboration faced the research team with some methodological and conceptual problems that affect Dialectology as a part of scientific Linguistics: quantification, autochthony of linguistic forms, concepts of «isogloss», «dialect» or «boundary», among others.
