Resumen

The morphology of minerals is presented as the result of the coupled influence of the crystal structure and the growth conditions. The former is indicated in the Jackson's a—factor, and the laters include the supersaturation, crystal perfection and mother solution dynamics. Simulated crystal morphologies, as result of the influence of the a—factor and the supersaturation, are shown. The influence of the solution velocity in the crystal growth kinetics and its scattering is also presented. Inclusions formation mechanisms, as records of the growth conditions, are discussed. Finally, a serie of morphological characteristic analysis with their interpretation, are presented.
