Two other objectives were pursued given their importance in the engi-neering profession: first, to enhance students’ teamwork ability; and second, to improve their communi-cation skills in English. To achieve this, students were given a leading role, promoting the developmentof transversal competences as well. An activity based on the “Flipped Classroom” was thus carriedout, but also implemented in working teams, requiring collaborative learning strategies, and proposedby topic, following the Project-Based Learning (PBL) approach. The use of Information and Commu-nication Technologies (ICTs) was also promoted at different levels: information sharing, intra-groupcommunication, virtual rehearsals, etc. Specifically, the activity consisted in the group preparation of ascientific-technical topic in the field of study, which was presented in the form of a lecture in English, audio recorded to improve assessment and feedback. Guidelines were provided, follow-up was carriedout, feedback was provided, and a satisfaction survey was conducted. The approach, development andsubsequent evaluation of the activity required constant coordination of the professors in charge, whobelonged to different departments: English Studies and Electrical Engineering.
