Abstract

In Spain, by public initiative, already from the Royal Commission of Tourism and the Marquis de la Vega Inclán, it is usual to recover heritage to create hotels. The Network of National Paradors will be a pioneer. Afterwards, it was necessary to wait for Democracy. Then, regional proposals and singular actions emerge. Private initiative converge in the same purpose. So, the palaces of indianos, the industrial architectures, the train stations, the lighthouses... are now recovered for the landscape and the heritage. And at the same time, they often generate social and economic dynamization in their surroundings.
