Resumen
The teaching methods sused in the classroom are undergoing profound changes, moving from traditional models to active ones, in which students are the protagonist of their learning process. The main objective is to investigate and analyze, through the bibliometric technique, the scientific production related to the active methodologies developed in the Secondary Education stage. The analysis was obtained through the two main citation indices used at a general level to measure research production: Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus, where the search was limited to the last ten years (2012-2021), to the language (English and Spanish) and the research area (education and psychology). The results of this study reflect that in recent years there has been a broad development and diversification of emerging issues in this field of study. Therefore, there is a solid base with which to continue and delve into further studies, since it is a very relevant field of study for the scientific community, either in the short or medium term.
