Abstract

The chlorhexidine is on the most uses antimicrobial agents in dental care. Several indications and methods of use were described since the beginning until today. Every dentist must be on permanent revision and actualization. In this work a review of the indications, applications and collateral effects of the chlorhexidine is made.
