Bienestar psicológico en tiempos de coronavirus: el cuidado y la salud mental durante el confinamiento

Resumen

Entre otras muchas consecuencias, la pandemia ha supuesto un aumento de las tareas de cuidado debido al cierre de guarderías y colegios. A partir de los datos recogidos durante el confinamiento se evidencia, en primer lugar, el empeoramiento del bienestar psicológico de la población con respecto a la situación anterior a la crisis sanitaria. En segundo lugar, se comprueba que las mujeres presentan una mayor erosión de la salud mental que los hombres. Finalmente, se constata que ese empeoramiento del bienestar entre las mujeres está estrechamente relacionado con la convivencia con personas que requieren un mayor número de horas de cuidados.
