Resumen

In spite of the interest of the public authorities to offer a lending telematic service of e-books, this is still under study and development withing the university. Making a comparative analysis of the general overview of this issue, as part of a research project developed by the Library of the University of Oviedo, the following article seeks to set in the library environment both consolidated realities as those problems and hesitations found on its way. Deriving this study, grew a reflection on the acquisition and procurement models present within the university and its discussed long-term viability. In light of the pressing finantial problems suffered by our libraries, we considered a possible alternative: the interlibrarian lending.
