Abstract

This article aims to analyse whether in the event of the breakdown of an extramarital union, there would be a possible economic compensation in favour of the cohabitant who is harmed by it, based on the same philosophy imbued in article 97 of the CC and foreseen for marriage, or in a different one, or if the law should remain impassive in these situations, all this in the absence of an agreement in this respect or applicable regulations. The different solutions provided by case law and specialized doctrine will be studied
