Abstract

In the field of higher education for matters related to the Geosciences (geology, geological engineering and mining engineering) it is necessary for students to be trained in certain social skills such as ethical criteria and values. Considerations discussed in this communication are part of the socio-economic context of a severe crisis of values associated with a difficult economic situation. Taking into account this is a social, political, economic and environmental trend, it is necessary that higher education plays a key role in the acquisition of these skills.
