Resum

With the beginning of 2019, sixty years of the Cuban Revolution have been completed. After six years of military and civil conflict, on the first day of the year 1959, Santiago de Cuba became the provisional capital of the Cuban Republic, hosting the first speech of Commander Fidel Castro Ruz. After asking the Cuban people for calm and patience, they defended the creation of a Republic that would guarantee a future for the population, generating collective social progress. To carry out this ambitious project, it was necessary to promote a communist, revolutionary as well as internationalist consciousness among the Cuban people. The philosophical approach Science-Technology-Society defends that science and technology should favor the well-being of people living in human societies. Through this contribution we will analyze the influence of the CTS philosophical approach on the political and philosophical thought of Fidel Castro - during the years 1959 and 1989 - as well as on the Cuban Revolution.
