Abstract

The main goal of the present work aimed was to analyze aggressive and disruptive behaviors and its links with adolescence. The specific characteristics of adolescence and emotion are explained and from that, and the links between emotion and aggressive behaviors are established. Previous exposure to violence in the first years is a crucial variable explaining emotions and cognitions that facilitate violence behaviors during adolescence and adulthood. In addition, specific forms of violence in the context of intimate partner relationships are analyzed, as is the role of socioemotional protective factors that may contribute to prevent violence.
