With the objective of obtaining a stable vegetal cover in different degraded mining areas, theefficiency of hidroseeding was evaluated in two places: the San Jose (Mieres) mine-spoil heapand mine Mozquita (Mieres) hidroseeded nine and seven years ago respectively. Among thespecies hidroseeded, Dactylis glomerata and Festuca arundinacea were those that betteradapted to degraded lands. Of the species that have spontaneously colonized the degraded zones(Other species), it must be pointed out Medicago lupulina that appears in the three studied areas, which indicates it can be interesting to use this species in mixtures of hidroseeding for futurerevegetations.
