Resumo

The scope of this study encompasses three plots of 500 m x 500 m located in Raya(Camaleño, Cantabria), Jazuca (Cillorigo de Liébana, Cantabria) and Fana-Gumartini (Lagos, Cangas deOnis, Asturias), belonging to communal lands of Picos de Europa National Park. In these plots theevolution of shrubs and grasslands between 2003 and 2011, was compared by orthophotos andvegetation maps. Despite the short period of comparison (8 years), in all three areas increased of shrubsand coarse grasses (calcareous Festuco-Brometea pastures) on mesophitic grasslands of Molinio-Arrhenatheretea class, was observed. In the Raya area, calcareous Festuca-Brometea pastures increased(23.16%) and the Genista occidentalis (4.25%) and decreased the mesophitic grasslands (31%). In theJazuca area increased the Genista occidentalis (38.66%) and Genista legionensis (33.16%) and decreased themesophitic grasslands (16.08%). In the area of Fana-Gumartini was found a marked increased inbracken (18.17%) and the heath-gorse (2.73%) and decreased the mesophitic grasslands (20.90%).
