Observaciones a las novedades introducidas por la Ley orgánica de protección integral a la infancia y la adolescencia frente a la violencia en relación con la materia penal

Abstract

Law 8/2021, of June 4, on the comprehensive protection of children and adolescents against violence has meant, among many other things, a new reform of criminal law. This article is aimed at disseminating, commenting on and evaluating mainly the modifications that it has made in the Penal Code and in the General Penitentiary Law. A set of reforms that, with different intensity, are focused on the penal legal treatment of discrimination, criminal sanctions, extinction of criminal responsibility and offences. In addition, they echo the provisions of the new law regarding the negative certificate of the Central Registry of Sex Offenders and Trafficking in Human Beings.
