Abstract

Shallow-water carbonate platform deposits from the Upper Jurassic were identified in Asturias (NW Iberian Peninsula) for the first time. They have a rich fauna of larger foraminfiera, where Anchispirocyclina lusitanica is the dominant taxa. The age suggested for the assemblage is Tithonian sensu latu.
