Abstract
This paper aims to analyse the intersections between gender and class in the literary, artistic and academic world (Hey 2003) from the pointview of female creators about their position in them. To do this, feminist responses from popular culture to feminine as simulacrum will be analysed first to study later on some of Chris Kraus’ works. Her narrative is based not only on autobiography as a tool to dismantle the existence of universal and subaltern stories, but also in the reflection on her marginal and / or alternative position in the canon and the need to look for references in order to reconduct her career. This study will be concluded mentioning the parallel effects of the cultural annihilation produced by the division of markets and canons by gender (Quinn, 2006; Bell, 2008 and Barnes, 2012)
