Resumen

Reducing school dropout is one of the main points of the national and European political agenda, because of its related problems at a personal and socio-economic level. Through a recent project of educational research and innovation, a literature review of those factors impacting on this issue was conducted, especially in relation to Roma population, whose rates are significantly higher. Afterwards, an intervention program was adapted, based on the obtained results, so that we could work later with the entire group class in third and fourth grade from a preventive approach. The research and collaboration with the participant schools made possible the beginning of an innovative, inclusive and intercultural educational experience, which could benefit all students, given that it contributes to develop basic skills, such as reading comprehension and the self-regulation of learning.
