Resumen
Current literature point to high rates of partner violence in transgender people. Partner violence mainly happen when transgender people are in a woman’s role and have heterosexual relationships. From the perspective of the sociology of health, the acute victimization of men-to-female trans is highlighted as the result of a double segregated identity, women and trans identity, in a heteropatriarcal society. Each new victimization adds a risk factor to violence in the future. Despite the few studies carried out in this regard yet, it has been already observed in different countries that victim support services for relationship violence are not well adapted to the trans community. These victims may suffer restrictions accessing support services. we highlight the limitations of Spanish legislation and its services in terms of recognition and support for victims. On the other hand, the literature highlights the prevalence of psychopathology in victims of relationship violence, higher when the victim does not receive support
