Abstract

Plants of red clover were collected from the natural meadow and pasture stands in Asturias (Northern Spain) in order to describe wild forms of red clover, since the number of their natural stands progressively diminishes. Several populations were examined and morphobiological types are described. Further analysis of morphological caracters from 6 selected populations were realized and they were divided each from other for growth habit, tillering, thickness of stems, and the degree of stems'pit. Wild clovers of meadow were erect the most of the cases. It has been also found that populations with multismmed plant were characterized by a greater number of structural units.
