Resum
This paper outlines some reflexions about raw materials lithic transformation in Ancient Palaeolithic sites of the Eastern of Asturias. First, we present the concept of the lithics operative chains and the most important place that the caching of the raw material has in all this process. Then, we focus in the study of rocks used in the lithic industry of Modes 2 y 3 linked to the fluvial terraces and marine abrasión platforms existing in the study area. Otherwise, we present a study of thin films of two different types of quartz arenite witch are typical in the Eastern Asturias, in which the lithics artifacts are made and their relationship with Ancient Palaeolithic sites, as well as their significance as raw material acquisition areas.
