Abstract

Dating violence among adolescents and young people is an issue that is gaining importance in recent years, while all the issues involved are not yet known in it, becoming important gender attitudes. These beliefs relate to the role that people should play in society, in different walks of life, whether at family, social or work. In this study we wanted to establish the differences in gender attitudes between men and women, and between FP and university students, as well as in relation of the level of victimization of eight forms of abuse. A total of 2136 students aged between 15 and 26 years involved. The assessment instruments used were the Cuvino (Dating Violence Questionnaire), which includes eight different forms of abuse in relationships of young couple, and the SRQ-R, which assesses gender attitudes in both sexes. The results show that the variable level of studies showing differences in the attitudes taken by the population, FP students that college being more sexist.
