Entrenamiento vibratorio aplicado en deportistashechos y posibilidades

Resumen

La aplicación de estimulación vibratoria al cuerpo humano para mejorar su rendimiento ha ido incrementando su popularidad en los últimos 15 años. Se ha usado con diferentes objetivos y sobre una gran variedad de sujetos, pero cuando se ha aplicado a deportistas los resultados ha sido ambiguos. Este artículo realiza una revisión profunda de todos los estudios publicados sobre este tipo de sujetos. Las investigaciones sobre los efectos agudos muestran resultados contradictorios, pero sí parecen contribuir a preparar mejor los músculos. Los estudios sobre los efectos a largo plazo indican que el entrenamiento vibratorio no tiene efectos significativos sobre parámetros como la fuerza o la velocidad de deportistas que ya tienen desarrolladas estas capacidades. Sí parece ayudar de manera significativa a la mejora de la flexibilidad.
