Resum

During 1990 a Multicentric European Study on diffractive Multifocal Intraocular Lens (in which we are included) has presented the results of 344 implants with a minimum study of 4 months. The evaluation of the optical qualities of the lens has been successful, and we have obtained and useful near vision in more than 85% of the patients. In this study we present our experience with the lens at middle term and we compare it to the multicentric study. We have analyzed some variables that can influence the final optic result. It is necessary to remind that the lens calculus must be exact the postoperative astigmatism must be minimum.
