Resumen
We have studied 98 eyes of 49 patients with atrophic and/or exudative form of established bilateral A.R.M.D., in relation with age, sex, antecedents, cause of consulting and refractive error. The A.R.M.D. was atrophic in 22 patients, exudative in 19 and 8 coexisted ARDM forms. The average age was 71.1 ±8.07. The exudative form was more frequent in those patients younger than 73 (60.8%). 33.6% of the patients had high arterial pressure. The cause of consulting in all the cases was the visual acuity disminution, either accompanied or not metamorphosia and/or scotomas. 83.6% of the eyes were hyperopic and 48.9% had astigmatism.
