Résumé

Even though the great importance that the Senate and the auctoritas patrum have along the legislative process in the roman Republic, the current article focus on the relationship between the two other organs that are also required: the people’s assemblies, in whose hands, according to the sources, lies the sovereignty of the res publica and the magistrate who has made a certain rogatio, and who, in addition of having the legislative iniciative also has multiples ways of intervention along the law making process till the final moment of announcing the results, the renuntiatio.
