Alteraciones del funcionamiento ejecutivo en el trastorno por déficit de atención con hiperactividad y sus subtipos

Resumen

El estudio de los subtipos del TDAH se realiza hoy desde diferentes perspectivas. Este trabajo ha tenido por objetivo comparar dichos subtipos desde el punto de vista de las funciones ejecutivas mediante la administración de la escala BRIEF en su forma para padres. Se contó con una muestra de 109 participantes con una media de edad de 10.6 años asignados a cuatro grupos: tres correspondientes a los tres subtipos de TDAH y un grupo de control. En este estudio, el índice de Regulación del Comportamiento, y especialmente la Inhibición, diferenciaron los subtipos combinado y con predominio hiperactivo/impulsivo de los controles y, a su vez, del grupo con predominio de déficit de atención, mientras que el índice de metacognición diferenció a los subtipos con predominio de déficit de atención y combinados de los controles. Estos resultados apoyan la utilidad de la escala BRIEF en el estudio del TDAH y sus subtipos.
